In addition, we apply population genetic studies to identify stocks and assign individuals to them and to determine adaptive genomic signals that could aid predicting changes in fish populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide differential value thanks to our <strong>extensive experience throughout the entire process chain<\/strong>: from understanding end users\u2019 needs, through sampling, genetic analyses and their interpretation, to translating them into information of interest to evaluators, managers and other end stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Beneficios<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Mejora de las estimas de biomasa:<\/strong><ul><li>Relevante para la evaluaci\u00f3n de especies pobres de datos, pero cuya explotaci\u00f3n es inminente (como los mesopel\u00e1gicos).<\/li><li>Relevante para la evaluaci\u00f3n de especies de alto valor comercial cuya correcta evaluaci\u00f3n es crucial para asegurar una gesti\u00f3n que mantenga el buen estado del recurso.<\/li><li>De particular inter\u00e9s para monitorizar cambios en la abundancia y distribuci\u00f3n de tiburones y cet\u00e1ceos.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Mejora de la delimitaci\u00f3n y asignaci\u00f3n de stocks<\/strong>:<ul><li>Asegura que la evaluaci\u00f3n se realice en unidades biol\u00f3gicamente significativas.<\/li><li>Asegura asignar las capturas de pesquer\u00edas multi-stock a su unidad de gesti\u00f3n correspondiente.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Mejora del conocimiento sobre c\u00f3mo responden las poblaciones al cambio clim\u00e1tico y presiones humanas<\/strong>:<ul><li>Permite identificar aquellas poblaciones que responder\u00e1n mejor o peor al cambio seg\u00fan su diversidad gen\u00e9tica y poder tomar as\u00ed medidas diferenciales.<\/li><li>Proporciona informaci\u00f3n sobre interacciones entre especies como hibridaci\u00f3n e introgresi\u00f3n que, de otra manera, ser\u00edan imposibles de detectar.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Sectores de aplicaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Administracione<\/strong>s que busquen hacer una mejor gesti\u00f3n de sus recursos.<\/li><li><strong>Organizaciones Regionales de Pesca<\/strong> que busquen hacer una mejor gesti\u00f3n de sus recursos.<\/li><li><strong>Cofrad\u00edas de pescadores<\/strong> que busquen hacer una correcta identificaci\u00f3n de los espec\u00edmenes capturados.<\/li><li><strong>Empresas de alimentaci\u00f3n <\/strong>que busquen una trazabilidad correcta de sus productos pesqueros.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Casos de \u00e9xito<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En colaboraci\u00f3n con ICCAT, AZTI ha desarrollado un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azti.es\/en\/azti-has-developed-a-genetic-method-to-identify-the-origin-of-bluefin-tuna-specimens-to-improve-the-management-and-promoting-the-conservation-of-the-species\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">m\u00e9todo gen\u00e9tico para asignar capturas de at\u00fan rojo<\/a> a su stock correspondiente.
