AZTI\" title=\"mcebrian\"\/>\n            <\/picture>\n            \n                   \n            <\/figure>\n            <header>\n                                    <h6>Marta Cebri\u00e1n<\/h6>\n                                <p>Project Manager<\/p>\n                <!--<a href=\"mailto:mcebrian@azti.es\">mcebrian@azti.es<\/a>-->\n                            <\/header>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2>Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>To develop a\nmethodology to collect and\/or process whey to make it profitable to implement\nsystems, equipment or plants to be used as raw materials in animal feed and\nhuman food, or to generate biofuels (biogas).<\/li><li>To complete an inventory\nand situation diagnosis of the current generation and management of whey in the\nCAPV to ascertain a detailed idea of the scope of the problems and actual\npossibilities of application of the options proposed.<\/li><li>To validate the\ntechnologies for whey recovery and exploitation through the installation and\nstart-up of two pilot plants of whey concentration and biogas production in a\ncheese factory.<\/li><li>To produce\nproduct prototypes for animal feed or human food which may be of interest to\nthe market.<\/li><li>To develop an\nAction Plan to enable the recovery and exploitation of at least 80% of the whey\ngenerated in the CAPV to include legal, technical, administrative,\nenvironmental and economic matters for correct storage, transport, processing\nand handling of whey.<\/li><li>To agree and\nvalidate the Action Plan through the definition of a demonstration test for\nwhey collection and processing as well as conducting Expert Panels with the\nsectors involved in the potential start-up.<\/li><li>To define a Road\nMap for efficient implementation of the proposed Action Plan.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2>Project Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"info-table\">\n    <table>\n                    <tr>\n                <td>Partners<\/td>\n                <td>\n                                                <p>Basque Government, AZTI, Neiker-Tecnalia, BM Ingenieria, Iberlact.<\/p>                        \n                                        <\/td>\n            <\/tr>\n                    <tr>\n                <td>Funding<\/td>\n                <td>\n                                                <p>European Commission.
