The Moses index responds to the needs set out in the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), the Blue Growth Strategy, and the Marine Strategy Framework Directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"link-list\">\n    \n<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.azti.es\/en\/productos\/moses-index\/\" \n    class=\"button button-filled \"\n    target=\"_self\"\n    data-form-id=\"\"\n        >\n        More info about MOSES Index\n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will quantify blue growth for key marine sectors and develop a common methodology for the quantitative assessment of sectoral pressures on the marine environment and the vulnerability of marine and coastal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The methodology will contribute to the joint\nimplementation of integrated marine industry sustainability assessment toolkits\nacross the Atlantic region. The outputs will assist regional authorities and\npolicy makers in monitoring progress vis-\u00e0-vis the Atlantic Action Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Role of\nAZTI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AZTI will be involved in all the project WPs. Concerning\nthe thematic ones, it will be very relevant its contribution to estimate the\nsize and growth of key marine sectors within WP4, applying the already\ndeveloped MARNET framework which AZTI knows thanks to its participation in the\nInterreg MARNET project as a partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition AZTI will lead WP5 and will take part in\nWP6 with the aim of identifying and assessing sustainable sectoral pressures in\na context of environmental vulnerability. Very high level knowledge to develop\nboth WPs is due to AZTI participation \u2013 leading \u2013 the FP7 DEVOTES project,\nrelated to the implementation of the MSFD. AZTI will also contribute to develop\nthe common tool developed in WP8 including the data and indexes developed in\nprevious WPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, AZTI will especially develop the Blue Growth\npathway for commercial fishing case study, although contributing to the rest of\nthe WP7 case studies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"two-columns-content-right\">\n        <div
