\n\n\n\n<p>NEAT (Nested Environmental status Assessment Tool) is a free software used to evaluate the environmental status of the marine environment, in principle within the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), but it can also be used to assess impacts in the sea (such as the effects of human activities on marine diversity, and variations caused by climate change). <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assessments are done in an integrated way, following the principles of ecosystem management, including multiple ecosystem components, multiple habitats, indicators, and the 11 MSFD descriptors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p> The challenge to carry out complex assessments is now made easier thanks to the NEAT tool
