\n\n\n\n<p>Verifying the animal species present in food products through analytical methods is a growing need for the food industry and official control organisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AZTI can detect mixtures or replacements of high-value meat with other lower-value food products by using real time PCR systems; the percentages of each species declared on the label are identified, and undeclared species are detected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be applied for beef, pork, poultry, etc. and for processed and unprocessed
