{"id":43066,"date":"2025-10-22T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.azti.es\/azti-neiker-colaboran-impulsar-envirodigital-cadena-agroalimentaria\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T09:24:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T07:24:50","slug":"azti-and-neiker-join-forces-to-boost-envirodigital-as-a-tool-for-environmental-improvement-across-the-entire-agri-food-chain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.azti.es\/en\/azti-and-neiker-join-forces-to-boost-envirodigital-as-a-tool-for-environmental-improvement-across-the-entire-agri-food-chain\/","title":{"rendered":"AZTI and NEIKER join forces to boost ENVIRODIGITAL as a tool for environmental improvement across the entire agri-food chain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul><li>The alliance between the two technology centres will enhance the digital tool for environmental assessment and advance the automation of data collection and calculation in agricultural and livestock systems.<\/li><li>The collaboration also aims to promote the dissemination and adoption of the tool throughout the agri-food sector.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Derio, 22 October 2025.<\/strong> The technology centres <strong>AZTI<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/neiker.eus\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NEIKER<\/a><\/strong> have signed a collaboration agreement to further develop <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.envirodigital.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ENVIRODIGITAL<\/a>,<\/strong> a tool created by AZTI and based on the European <strong>Product Environmental Footprint (PEF)<\/strong> methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The platform, already in use by several agri-food companies, allows businesses to measure, manage and reduce the environmental footprint of their products and processes across the entire agri-food chain \u2014 from primary production (fishing, aquaculture, agriculture and livestock farming) to food distribution and final consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new partnership will make it possible to add advanced automation features to data collection and processing in the agricultural sector, enabling faster, more accurate environmental assessments based on real field data.
