The award, given by the European Commission&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/maritime-forum.ec.europa.eu\/theme\/ocean-literacy-and-blue-skills\/ocean-literacy\/eu4ocean-coalition_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU4Ocean Coalition<\/a> to the technology centre&#8217;s summer course, was presented on Friday 31 May as part of European Maritime Day in Svendborg (Denmark).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recognition underlines AZTI&#8217;s commitment to promoting marine sustainability and its dedication to providing quality education in the marine and coastal field. The event is held annually in June in San Sebastian, coinciding with the celebration of World Oceans Day on 8 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, more than 1,200 participants from all over the world, from junior researchers to policy makers, have engaged in the dynamic environment of the school, exploring cutting-edge topics at the intersection of science and policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, the Summer School delves into new areas of marine research, fostering innovative methods and debates that bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and societal needs.
