An international event, organised by AZTI and Nebext, designed by and for professionals in the food and beverage industry. The event sought answers to the major challenges facing the sector: how to optimise processes through technology, how to develop more sustainable and efficient business models, and what are the trends in the production of new foods and ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the <a href=\"https:\/\/azti.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/F4F_2021_findings_opt.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">key findings<\/a> and main conclusions reached at the event Food 4 Future 2021:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Food <\/strong>has shaped the world and human development throughout history and will continue to do so in the future.<\/li><li><strong>Demographic challenge<\/strong>, the great transformer of future food.<ul><li>Safe and healthy food supply for all people.<\/li><li>Integral food based on values: origin, animal welfare, protection of natural resources.<\/li><li>Education, training of people is a priority and social commitment of the brands.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Sustainability<\/strong>, the great challenge of food<ul><li>Reduction of CO2 emissions<\/li><li>Efficiency in processes, less water and energy consumption<\/li><li>Reduction of food waste<\/li><li>Valorisation of by-products<\/li><li>New protein sources: insects, biotechnology, mushrooms, algae, meat\/dairy substitutes<\/li><li>Sustainable packaging and containers<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Digitalisation<\/strong> as a lever for sustainability, health and connecting with the consumer:<ul><li>How they are produced\/ Transparency<\/li><li>Information \/ Trust<\/li><li>Availability \/ Convenience<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Channel shift to <strong>multi-channel<\/strong><ul><li>All consumer sales channels are mixed.<\/li><li>E-commerce will grow but not equally in all categories: significant growth in dry goods, moderate growth in grocery.<\/li><li>Priority on fresh produce, back to the origins and local.<\/li><li>Ecosystems emerge in distribution: physical and digital shopping experience.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Health<\/strong> from a more natural diet, simpler recipes, new ingredients as the basis of a healthier diet for more aware consumers.<ul><li>Precision nutrition<\/li><li>Smart eating<\/li><li>Personalized Food<\/li><li>Reinventing the category<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"link-list\">\n    \n<a  href=\"https:\/\/azti.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/F4F_2021_findings_opt.pdf\" \n    class=\"button button-filled \"\n    target=\"_blank\"\n    data-form-id=\"\"\n     onclick=\"gtag('event', 'descargar', {'event_category' : 'PDF','event_label' : 'DOWNLOAD PDF.
