coastal urban areas, AZTI specialises in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Definition of adaptation&nbsp;<strong>criteria and contingency plans<\/strong>&nbsp;to fight against climate change.<\/li><li><strong>Monitoring and processing of physical, chemical and biological variables<\/strong>&nbsp;using own or external networks (e.g. tide gauges, remote sensing).<\/li><li><strong>Statistical analysis of time series and validation of<\/strong>&nbsp;climate, oceanographic, geomorphological and ecological&nbsp;<strong>models<\/strong>&nbsp;(habitat of species, communities, ecosystem).<\/li><li><strong>Future scenario simulation<\/strong>: regional scenarios at physical (geomorphological models) and ecological level (coupling of habitat and
