Digital twins are virtual replicas that simulate the behavior of their real counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At AZTI, we are working on oceanic models that solve the complexity of coastal systems and obtain past, present, and future information on ocean-based variables (waves, tide levels, currents, temperature, salinity, pollutants, and transported material) on a regional scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We specialize in <strong>real-time simulations and short-term prediction<\/strong>, incorporating data from our observing system, but also in reconstructing historical series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a local scale, we develop coastal models of risk in coastal infrastructures (agitation in ports, flooding, overflow) and to predict the <strong>morphological evolution of beaches and estuaries<\/strong> in the short, medium, and long term.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"two-columns-content-right\">\n        <div class=\"related-members\">\n                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We use numerical modeling to analyze the behavior of the sea and its coasts in certain cases, aimed at improving our ability to manage and predict future states.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":23452,"parent":1453,"menu_order":0,"template":"","contexts":[959],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v18.4.1 -
