By doing so, we seek to optimise the fishing activity and adapt it to the regulatory requirements for the sustainable use of marine resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"link-list\">\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fishing_gear_and_its_optimisation\"><\/span><strong>Fishing gear and its optimisation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We support the sector in improving fishing efficiency and optimising catch probability<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are working on increasing knowledge of the&nbsp;<strong>relationship between oceanographic parameters and fish distribution<\/strong>, as well as&nbsp;<strong>remote sensing technologies and our own IT software for the management of catches<\/strong>, complemented with the transmission of the vessel-land information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We develop and evaluate innovations in fishing technology to<strong>&nbsp;improve extractive fishing activity<\/strong>&nbsp;in close collaboration with the fishing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We increase the safety of workers on-board through&nbsp;<strong>occupational risk prevention<\/strong>&nbsp;systems by models, as well as through the&nbsp;<strong>assessment and improvement of ergonomics<\/strong>&nbsp;of the different activities of the fishermen depending on the type of fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"link-list\">\n    \n<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.azti.es\/en\/contexts\/fishing-gear\/\" \n    class=\"button button-filled \"\n    target=\"_blank\"\n    data-form-id=\"\"\n        >\n        SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND PROJECTS ON FISHING GEAR\n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Energy_efficiency_in_the_maritime-fishery_sector\"><\/span><strong>Energy efficiency in the maritime-fishery sector<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We analyse the vessel\u2019s operational pattern in accordance with the particularities of each sector to understand the<strong>&nbsp;fuel consumption model<\/strong>&nbsp;and we consider technological or operational alternatives for its reduction, along with gas emission (analysis of the carbon footprint of sectoral fleets).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We develop innovative technology to&nbsp;<strong>optimise energy use<\/strong>: consumption monitoring and management systems as well as the use residual heat (ORC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"link-list\">\n    \n<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.azti.es\/en\/contexts\/energy-efficiency\/\" \n    class=\"button button-filled \"\n    target=\"_blank\"\n    data-form-id=\"\"\n        >\n        SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND PROJECTS ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY\n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n    \n<\/a><\/div><\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"two-columns-content-right\">\n        <div class=\"related-members\">\n                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We research fisheries technologies that minimise the impacts of fishing on the marine environment and improve work operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":8405,"parent":1477,"menu_order":0,"template":"","contexts":[203],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v18.4.1 -
