SUMMARY:MARTECH 2025 - The 12th International Workshop on Marine Technology
DESCRIPTION:Technological development deeply constrains our perception of marine environments and ecosystems. \nThe main objective of the MARTECH Workshop is to share information and points of view on cutting-edge research in several fields of MARine TECHnology. MarTech is an internationally renewed venue for dissemination of marine technology research since 2008. \nThese are the main topics to be explored during this 12th edition: \n\nApplication case studies of Marine Technology\nTechnology for Aquaculture and fisheries\nTechnology for Marine Biology\nOperational Oceanography from in-situ observations (including moorings\, landers\, floats\, ROVs\, AUVs\, ASVs\, Gliders)\nWater management (including Water Industrial Applications and Water Treatment Plants)\nRemote sensing (including satellites\, airplanes and land-based systems like HF radars and videometry)\nSeafloor and Water Column characterization\nIntegrated technologies in coastal\, regional\, and offshore platforms and research vessels\nTechnologies for marine pollution (including plastics\, chemical contaminants\, oil spills)\nOther Applications\nSmart Bays enhanced by Marine Technology\nTest sites and test sites experiences\nIntegrated technology platforms\, sensors and facilities\nData to products and services\nDigital twins (DTOs)\nJoining local needs and international standards\nInfrastructures predictive maintenance: structural health monitoring (e.g. vibration\, corrosion\, etc)\, data-driven maintenance\, climate adaptation strategies\nRenewable Marine Energy\nRobotics\, Artificial Intelligence\, Sensors and Communication\nInstrumentation\, Metrology\, Signal processing\nComputer Architectures for AI\nMarine Robotics: ROVs\, AUVs\, ASVs\, Gliders\, including sensors\, software and new vehicles\nUnderwater Communications\nAI for Underwater Technology\nSeafloor observatories and sensor networks\nUnderwater imaging and communication\nMarine Geophysics technology and solutions\nMarine Data Interoperability and data flow\nIntelligent Control Techniques\nSimulation\, Modelling and Optimization\n\nFind updated information on MARTECH 2025 at this LINK

SUMMARY:SUMMER SCHOOL 2025 “Artificial intelligence and citizen science in monitoring and assessing biodiversity and invasive species at sea”
DESCRIPTION:PROGRAM  <<HERE>>\nREGISTER <<HERE>> \nIn this 21st edition of the AZTI Summer School\, the proposed topic is ‘Artificial intelligence and citizen science in monitoring and assesing biodiversity and invasive species at sea’. This year\, the school is supported by the following projects: GES4SEAS\, OBAMA-NEXT\, GuardIAS\, BioBoost+\, ANERIS and POMP \nCurrently\, several policies and directives require monitoring and assessment of the status of marine waters\, e.g. the Water Framework Directive\, the Marine Strategy Framework Directive\, the Habitats and Birds Directives\, the Biodiversity Strategy\, the Nature Conservation Act\, etc. in Europe. In some cases\, invasive species are an important issue when studying biodiversity\, and in this context\, artificial intelligence and citizen science can help researchers to get early warning signals to manage the problems they can cause. \nThe main objective of Summer School 2025 is to present\, both theoretically and practically\, different tools and methods for monitoring and assessing biodiversity and alien species\, using among others\, artificial intelligence and citizen science. To achieve this objective\, we have organized the school in three days\, sharing the experiences from scientists participating in different projects \nThe course is open to early career scientists\, senior scientists who want to learn something new\, managers and policy makers to discuss this hot topic together. \nPROGRAM  <<HERE>>\nLECTURERS INFO <<HERE>> \nREGISTER <<HERE>>\nEarly registration until 11 April: 100€.\nRegular registration from 12 April to 30 May: 170€. \n  \n  \nWith the collaboration of: \n \n
